What is Blockchain?
It’s a specific database system that stores data in blocks, when new blocks are added, they create a chronological chain. The way it stores information differs from a typical database and once data is added, it’s impossible to change or remove – making it super reliable. This innovative technology means we can map out our supply chain, for customers and suppliers.
Why do we want to trace our supply chain?
We’re using Blockchain to provide better transparency and traceability within our supply chain. As part of our mission to promote greater connectivity across the chain, we aim to ease friction in global trade. By developing the livelihoods of our supply chain, we come back to our core concept of Prajāva.

All of the ingredients in our blends come from small-hold farms. With training and support for farmers, we encourage a switch to organic farming, which will nurture the soil for generations to come. Our unique circular approach to sustainability sits at the heart of everything we do. We strive to build sustainable communities at every step, as well as ensuring all packaging is planet friendly. In bringing prosperity to our people and the planet, we are working towards a better future for us all. We know where all of our ingredients come from, so why shouldn’t you?
How you can trace our supply chain with Blockchain…
As a customer, you will simply need to scan the QR code on your box of English Tea Shop blends and enter your batch number. From then, the technology will allow you to view the supply chain.
The supply chain: what can we track?
Currently, we’re working with four main focuses; ingredient origin & sourcing, blending & taste, sustainable packaging and organic traceability & certification. There are three levels of information for each – the further you click, the deeper we dive into things.
